"I originally composed this song in 1981, at a piano in a small church in Martin, TN. With college graduation just weeks away, and the future unfolding so quickly, I sought the Lord's guidance. Looking back now in 1998, all I can say is, He does indeed answer prayer. May this song be of encouragement as you, too, seek to know and follow our Father's will."

My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus blood and righteousness;

I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus' name.

When darkness seems to hide His face, I rest in His unchanging grace;

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand,

Where there is faith, there is a voice calling "Keep walking, you're not alone in this world." Where there is faith, there is a peace like a child sleeping, hope everlasting in He who is able to bear every burden to heal every hurt in my heart.
